A few years ago, I spent some time exploring Thailand. One of the most beautiful moments was when I saw a Lotus flower for the first time. Coming from the arid lands of northern Mexico, anything connected with water is entirely fresh yet captivating to me!
I have always been drawn to wildflowers, and my curiosity was piqued when I stumbled upon a single lotus growing in a small pond situated in an urban area. Hues of purple and pink blended together perfectly, creating a mesmerizing pattern that inspired me to create my own take on it using elements from Mexican folk art. It encapsulated my perspective of experiencing newness and allowed me to discover more about this world around me.
